Have your say on the future of anaesthetic and perioperative care!

The National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA) and the James Lind Alliance (JLA) are conducting a research priority setting exercise in Anaesthesia and Perioperative care.

Last year, we conducted an initial survey to gather research suggestions from patients, carers, clinicians and all our partner organisations. We had a fantastic response and received nearly 1500 suggestions.

These responses have now been distilled to 93 'summary' research questions. We are now performing a second survey to identify the top 10 research questions. For the findings to be representative, we need a good number of responses from a wide range of respondents.

This survey is now live and will remain open until the end of March. We will then tot up the scores, and the most popular 25-30 research questions will go through to our final prioritisation workshop where a group of patient and clinician representatives will review the most popular research questions and arrive by mutual consensus at a 'Top Ten' list of research priorities.

This is your chance to contribute your views on the future of anaesthetic and perioperative care research. Please click here to complete this survey via our website.
