Appointment of NELA Surgical and Research Lead
The NELA team are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Lyndsay Pearce to the position of NELA Surgical and Research Lead. The team have been looking to appoint a new Lead in this post due to Ms Sonia Lockwood stepping down to take on a new role as ASGBI Director of Emergency General Surgery. Upon the appointment, Dr Dave Murray (NELA Chair) and Dr Sarah Hare (NELA Clinical Lead) noted "We are delighted to announce that Lyndsay Pearce, a Consultant Surgeon from Salford, will be joining the NELA team as our new surgical lead. She will be following in the footsteps of Sonia Lockwood who we wish well in her future, but who will still be working closely with NELA in her new role at the ASGBI. Close working with our surgical colleagues is crucial to the success of NELA nationally, but also at local level and we know Lyndsay is going to be a great member of our team."
